Meet Alba Rose Photography, Dallas Wedding Photographer

Today we’re sharing another wonderful interview with one of our favorite Dallas photographers, Rosy from Alba Rose Photography!

Rosy’s work is our favorite style: light, bright, and airy. She captures details so perfectly that we enlist her into shooting our flowers as often as possible? (Think the flower photos in our online shop are gorgeous? That’s all Rosy!)

Let’s get to know more about Alba Rose Photography and her tips for hiring your perfect wedding photographer!

Let’s Hear from Rosy!

Tell us about your business!

I'm a wedding and portrait photographer specializing in capturing love stories for couples who value family, art, beauty, and design. While I prefer to be called Rosy, my full name is actually Rosalba (I was named after my grandmother)-pronounced Rose-Alba. Which is why and how my business name Alba Rose came to be. I wanted my name to have meaning and it does. I have a passed down name, almost like a personal heirloom. A Legacy. This is also what I hope to my clients can pass down with my photographs of them, their very own legacy and heirlooms.

What is your favorite thing about working in weddings?

I don't have just one favorite moment. More so, I have favorite stages of how the day evolves. I love how each wedding day is different and seeing each story unfold is amazing to me. I guess if I had to absolutely pick it would be these top 4.

  1. The first look between the couple: whether it's a private one or the traditional one where they see each other for the very first time.

  2. The moment they walk down the aisle announced as "married".

  3. The mother/son dances. As a boy mom to 4 boys. I almost always get teary eyes here.

  4. The grand exit. That sigh of relief, that overall giddy feeling I see couples have as they leave "their perfect wedding day". It's mesmerizing.

What trends are you seeing in your field? Any forecasts for future trends?

I see a lot of headpieces lately. I don't really know if it's a trend, but smaller headpieces for sure are making a comeback. I think smaller gatherings are definitely a thing now, with grand, lush, floral.

What advice would you give to couples looking to hire your category?

Take the time to ask a few key questions about your photographer.

  • What qualities do you most want your wedding photographer to possess and why is that important?

  • What about their work caught your eye and why is that important to you?

Asking yourself these thing will help you find the perfect photographer/artist for you.

Isn’t her work absolutely stunning? We are always counting down to our next collaboration with this talented creative!
